佐古季暢子: マンドリン演奏者

Kyoko Sako was born in Hiroshima and started Mandolin when she was junior high school student. She graduated from Elisabeth University of Music, and received master degree from Cologne University of Music and Dance(Wuppertal). She got a scholarship from Nakamura music foundation in 2011.

She won several prizes and performed in many concerts. She has also released a duo mandolins CD “Tabidachi no Uta” together with M.Kawaguchi in 2009. She presented a solo concert with mandolin pieces in 2012. After this solo concert, she has started a music journey to find new possibilities of expression. Literature themed Mandolin recital(Classic Guitar Toshimitsu Kamigaichi) in 2014. Concert “Shin Kyo Chi” together with a world well-know guitarist, Norio Sato in 2016. Mandolin solo concert “Kyo Kai” presented mixture of mandolin and electronics “Sign of the Times” (Shintaro Imai) and "Piano Phase for two pianos" (Steve Reich). 

From the beginning of her career, Kyoko has performed around the world, Japan, Germany, France, South Korea and other countries. She is enthusiastically participating in Ensemble Nomad and contemporary music ensemble Rosetta and working on the premiere and replay of contemporary music. In addition to performance activities, Kyoko also teaches Mandolin in Elisabeth University of Music and conduct Mandolin Orchestra.
